If you haven’t tried marinating your chicken in mustard, get ready for a taste sensation. The breast comes out moist, tender and with a superior flavor that will make this recipe a grilling favorite. You will enjoy the easy meal prep and another great way to cook up chicken in bulk for the week.

Easy chicken marinade prep:

In gallon size storage bag pour 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, squirt in a liberal amount of mustard and Siracha hot sauce. Add no salt herb blend of choice. Blend through the bag by squeezing ingredients. Add 2 chicken breasts and a sprig of fresh rosemary. Seal bag getting air out as you close. Move chicken breasts around through bag to coat. Fold excess bag under and place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Ready to grill:

Prep grill with oil, and heat to 350 degrees. Add marinated chicken breasts and cook for approximately 25 minutes. Turn half way through cooking.

Side Bar: Meal Prep to Stay on Track

Planning meals ahead of time is a great way to stay on track with eating healthy. We work too hard at the gym to blow it with poor food choices. Being prepared and having grab and go meals will keep us accountable. Here are five top reasons you should start meal prepping for a better body:

1. Saves time and money:

Buying food in bulk is a cost saving. Meat is cheaper by the pound and typically produce offers the same benefit. Also, choosing one day out of the week to slow cook or grill chicken will save time in the long run. On those busy work days, you will appreciate having your lean meats ready to heat and serve.

2. Accountability:

No more fast food restaurant strikes when hunger hits. You eliminate unhealthy options by having your meals prepped, packed and ready to go.

3. Reduces Stress:

No more wonder about what’s for dinner. We eliminate that stress by simply having our lean meats cooked and ready to heat. Add a healthy side of vegetables and you have just created a meal in minutes. Now, go relax.

4. Makes Shopping Easier:

Meal planning means food shopping from a list. No deviations or last minute impulse buys allowed. This means less time in the store and more time doing what you enjoy. This also eliminates all those extra trips typically made throughout the week.

5. Results:

Meal prepping will get you to your fitness goals. When we’re consistent with healthy eating and exercise, our body rewards us with fat loss and muscle gain.
